When Pit bulls were known as "Nanny Dogs"

Believe you me, I have never been a huge fan of Pit bulls as a dog breed~
but in my interactions with the loving ones and encountering the incredible
prejudice against their breed because of bad humans
that train and abuse them to be anti-social~
I decided to share their roots and history...

For generations, if you had children and wanted to keep them safe you wanted a pit bull,
the dog that was the most reliable of any breed with children or adults.

Pit bull puppies prefer human company to their mother’s two weeks before all other dogs...

In temperance tests (the equivalent of how many times your kid can poke your dog in the eye before he bites him) of all breeds the most tolerant was the Golden Retriever.
The second most tolerant was the pit bull.
Pit Bulls' new reputation now makes them the highest number of any other breed euthanized.
Adjust your preconceptions.

Legos: so not just for kids...or dorks.

(I am so sorry, I forgot where I got this from~ Totally not mine,
there's some really cool person out there that created this,
not me...but I'm inspired, for sure.)

There are so many things wrong with this that I don't know where to even begin...Dog in purse, gun + Cell phone, Swarovski, Faberegé eggs...so überly Republican Bourgeois, I am afraid.

Inspiration from 2011 Fall Fashion Week, NY.

Ivana Helsinki~ Fall 2011
My fantasy fairy-princess dress...so cool with the peacock feathers!
It looks like some people still are having fun with fashion week!

An idea that can only be the result of whiskey at midnight...

Inspired by a good friend of mine and the realization that I have always had a lot to share...And given that I am living apart from most all those who I hold dear (not able to harass anyone in person)...not being one that was ever good at keeping journals (and since it is the digital age) = why not turn my observations into digital form!
This way I have the enjoyment of sharing and posting the tidd-bits of what I stumble upon in this crazy place.

This is just a conversation & a collection, of sorts...and I will be interested to see where (and whether) it adapts to or degrades from here... and so it begins.
